Sarah Haydon

I'm 23 and from Swindon. After I left school I studied performing arts at college, I had already been training in dance for many years, but took this course to build my strengths in all fields.

I qualified at 17 and, got my 1st entertainment job that summer as a dancer for Bourne Leisure. In total I did 4 contracts working my way up to dance captain, in this time I found my love for presenting. For many years I wanted to to work on cruise ships, so as soon as i was old enough (21) I went to an audition with Princess cruises and within 6 weeks was flying out to LA to meet the ship. I was employed as an Assistant Cruise Director, which meant that I was leaving my dancing behind, and now focusing on my presenting. Each night would consist of something different from game shows, to being the M.C. for shows or even hosting our very own version pop idol known as ' princess pop star' - cheesy I know.

I worked for princess for 2 yrs, and in this time met my lovely boyfriend who is still out there (sad face), travelled to many different countries, and also bought my own house, so there was many reasons to stay. But I had been wanting to leave ship life to become a TV presenter and knew that I wasn't going to get anywhere if I stayed on the ship. So at the start of this year, I gave myself the kick I needed and came home to take a 'gap year' where I was really going to focus on a TV career. So you can imagine how happy I was when I found out that I got down to the last 12. I'm really excited about the next few days, I feel that my performance on the day of the audition could have been so much better if it wasn't for my nerves. Now I feel like I've been given a second chance to show everyone what I can be. Even if I don't get any further I know this has been a valuable experience for me and I will keep on trying until I get there. I just have to remember to stay calm!

So that's how I got here today without delving too far into my past. Other bits about me that might be interesting (although I doubt it.) I still love to dance and go to a class once a week mostly in an attempt to reduce my cellulite.

I've just started body balance which is great, I feel so much more flexible after just a few weeks.

I love to read, mostly girlie books, so does that count?

I've got 2 fairy God children that I spend a of of time with.

I love to shop!!!!! Although people hate to shop with me as i make them spend money that they don't have!
