Pablo D'Amo

Half Scottish and half Italian, Pablo spent the first ten years of his life in Rome. He then moved to London with his family until his degree in European Law directed him to Bristol University. On returning to London to attend Law School, he secured employment at the City Law firm, Clifford Chance.

An inspired change of career, however, saw Pablo turn his hand to teaching English as a foreign language, with a view to indulging his passion for travel. He worked as a Tour Manager and Coordinator of travel programmes around many European destinations and was posted in Florence for two years where he ran an Italian Life and Culture programme. His long-term fascination with film and television, however, came to the fore, as he directed a number of short promotional films for the study travel programmes that he organized.

Readily taking the role of interviewer in these films, the idea dawned that he could work as a presenter. A number of minor television appearances confirmed his aptitude in front of the camera and when he saw an internet advert for Search for a Presenter 2007, he quickly recognized this fantastic opportunity to step full-time into the presenting arena.

Pablo relishes the high standard of competition he will face during this contest and when asked about his chances of winning, he replied that win or lose, he is very confident of making real headway in the world of Presenting in 2007. Watch this space!
