Job Description - Television Producer

A Television producer creates television programs from his/her own ideas or from plays, books etc. then brings together a team of workers and supervises the project from beginning to end. This includes taking charge of the budget, problem solving and choosing actors.

Training & Qualifications

Although no qualifications are necessary to become a television producer you will need to have had substantial experience in other areas of television or visual arts.

Personal Qualities

To be a successful TV producer you should be a good team leader, be able to motivate others and have a good imaginative and technical mind.
