Job Description - Club Med G.O
The Initials G.O stand for Gentil Organisateur which comes from the French meaning friendly host. A G.O’s job is to organize fun activities for both children and adults who are holidaying with Club Med. Being a G.O means you could get sent all over the world to entertain Club Meds guests. There are many different jobs opportunities available as a Club Med G.O these include sporting activities (including Golf, Inline Skating, Sailing and Waterskiing) opportunities in Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping & Maintenance, Guest Services & retail Sales and Child Care & Health. Training & Qualifications You will need relevant training/work experience for most G.O jobs for example a baker must have 3 years experience, a bakers assistant needs just one years experience. You must be over 18 years old with a current passport and able to lift at least 30 pounds. Although not essential a foreign language would be helpful. If your job application is accepted all G.O’s will undertake three training programmes for each field of activity. Personal Qualities To become a G.O you must have a great sense of humour, be flexible, have good organisational skills, be friendly, outgoing enjoy travelling and meeting new people and fit in as part of a team.
