Job Description - Baseball Player
Baseball is enjoyed by millions of people worldwide. The exact origins of baseball are unknown although it is thought that baseball originates from the British game of Rounders. Baseball had become very popular in the United States by the early 19th Century and many towns and cities had their own teams and clubs. In 1845 Alexander Cartwright had created the rules of baseball, which are the base of the rules used today. In 1846 the first recorded game of baseball took place in New Jersey between Cartwright's Knickerbockers and the New York Baseball Club, Cartwright’s team lost.
