David Horne

Well what can I say? I am a 21 year old male who grew up in the south east of England. I studied Drama and performing arts at college and obtained quite high grades within my class. I am currently working for my local radio station at SGR Colchester, but would love the chance to move out one day and follow my main ambition. I would say that I am a friendly, outgoing person with a bright and vivacious personality.

Presenting  has always been where my heart lies, if there was a book on how to be a successful presenter I would follow it like it was my own personal bible. This is what I say about presenting.

"If you ever find a work placement that your so passionate about, and have dreamed of having all your life. Then when you finally get there you’ll never have to work again".

Ever since a young age I have always been interested in presenting, as early as 6 years old I would gather my family around in our living room and I would tell them all an entertaining story. If I could see that they didn’t like it, I would quickly change the story so that I would have them hooked back to whatever I was saying. Most of the time I would have them laughing and this gave me good sensation knowing that I could entertain others.

From the ages of 14 to 18 I was in my local theatre group where I performed in many plays. But growing up I learnt that the only profession that will suit me perfectly would be a role as a TV presenter.

Generally its just fun, at times it can be tricky but its taking those risks and finding out what you can and can’t do. I look forward to my time in Boot-Camp as by doing this I could really learn something about myself and what techniques would suit me best.
